CONCERT BAND
The Union County High School Symphonic Band is the premiere concert band in the Union County School District. The ensemble performs several local concerts throughout the school year, as well as performing at the SCBDA Concert Performance Assessment. The concert bands at Union County High School have a long tradition of excellence and have received numerous Superior & Excellent Ratings at the SCBDA Concert Performance Assessment.
MARCHING BAND
The Union County High School Marching Band, better known as the “Sting Machine,” consists of 8th-12th grade students in Union County. The band performs at home and away football games, as well as local parades throughout the year. The marching band also competes in local and statewide competitions.
WINTER ENSEMBLES
The Union County Bands has two competitive Winter Ensembles, the UCHS Winter Guard and the UCHS Indoor Percussion. Both groups are members of the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association (CWEA), and have performed and competed on both the regional and national level. The Winter Guard competes in Scholastic Regional A Class while the Indoor Percussion competes in Percussion Scholastic A.
